Barbara is a British Labour Party politician who's serves as the Member of Parliament for Worsley and Eccles South and is the Shadow Minister for Music & Tourism.
Alison McGovern has been the Member of Parliament for Wirral South since 2010. She is the former Shadow Economic Secretary to the Treasury.
The Investment Fraud All-Party Parliamentary Group is proudly supported by a number of leading experts in counter-fraud, policing, pensions and treasury matters. Our Advisory Board Panel provides expert knowledge and guidance to the APPG, alongside preparing reports and policy initiatives.
Carly has been appointed as Chair of our advisory panel. Carly is a co-founder of the APPG and a qualified lawyer. She is an expert in fraud with a particular expertise in supporting sports professionals who are victims of fraud and/or mis-selling. She is a director of @psmgroupuk.
Independent British politician Lord John Mann is a member of the House of Lords. Prior to receiving a peerage, he served as the Labour Party Member of Parliament (MP). He has considerable experience of Treasury matters having previously served as Chair of the Treasury Select Committee.
Dr Muir is a Director of the UK independent police think tank, the Police Foundation and has overseen their work on the Strategic Review of Policing (England & Wales). Formerly Associate Director @IPPR he lead research on public services such as law enforcement & criminal justice.
Adam Richardson is a Barrister practising from 1 Essex Court and has extensive civil and Chancery law experience earning him a reputation as a preeminent data, privacy, and reputation management barrister. His client base includes national political parties. He has a strong command of all matters involving insolvency.
Margaret Snowdon OBE of the PSIG is a Non-Executive Director at the Pensions Regulator, a pensions professional and policy advisor. Margaret was appointed an OBE in 2010 and has received many awards for her contribution to Pensions including being named as one of the most influential people in pensions.
Andy Agathangelou convened a Senate House meeting that created the Transparency Task Force. Andy, a Governor of the UK's Pensions Policy Institute, founded Friends of Automatic Enrolment and chairs Friends of the Association of Member Nominated Trustees, which he helped form. Andy has been lobbying on behalf of pension fraud victims for many years.
Sue Flood has worked in the Television Industry since 2001.
with a wide range of VIP celebrities including Muhammed Ali, Robert Redford, Mel Gibson, Richard Gere and various Presidents of the United States of America. Sue has become a key figure in helping to prevent people falling victim to pension fraudsters, having become a victim herself.
Keller Postman UK solicitors supports the APPG as its secretariat. Keller Postman has one of the most experienced group action and multi-claimant legal teams in England and Wales. Director Ben Rees represents Keller Postman on the APPG Board. He has a particular expertise in financial fraud and mis-selling. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT). He is supported by Carly Barnes of Phoenix Sport & Media Group who acts as Deputy Secretariat.
